Thanks, Terry! Excellent sermon for all of us one day facing our exit from this broken world.
Your song was a favorite that Tracy and I learned together days before Davis Brock called her–a clue perhaps that fires of unexpected sorrows were around the corner. My favorite verse is the last–to not forsake truth but to wait on the Lord and hope will rise just like the stars appear as day dims!
Praying here!

Pastor McIntosh,
Just listened to your message on God’s sovereignty, we serve an awesome God. I think back to the time I had breast cancer and you were right there with me, comforting me and praying for and with me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Praying this “gift of cancer” is used by our sovereign God to strengthen your faith in unimaginable ways as well as all those who you encounter along this journey.

Thank you, Terry, for your faithful exposition of Job’s rich teachings as well as your faithful articulation of the doctrine of God’s sovereignty. It’s one thing to believe in God’s sovereignty but it’s another when the sovereignty of God is all we have. That’s when we learn that it’s enough. Thank you for your humble, faith-filled response to this present momentary affliction. We are praying for you. We were with Gary and Mary over the 4th and learned of this cancer. We pray for grace and strength from God that is more than sufficient for your need. We are praying for Michelle and the family as well. Thank you for so effectively leading your church family as they walk this path with you. God’s glory is already evident!
